The Charity Fund named after Mr. Oganes Khidiryan donated to the Pyriatyn City Center for Social Services for Families, Children and Youth a set of manuals for parents who have faced a child's cancer.

The book was created as a guide for parents whose children have leukemia (blood cancer). However, most of it will be useful in cases of other cancers, the treatment of which includes chemotherapy. The publication contains answers to the vital questions that parents have after diagnosing a child: what procedures should be and how to prepare for them, what may be the side effects and how to reduce discomfort from them, what dietary recommendations to follow, how to calm yourself and child and tune in to win, etc. The book touched on issues of both inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as the topic of rehabilitation and psychological assistance to young patients and their parents.

The co-authors of the assistance were leading experts in the field of cancer treatment, radiation therapy, blood transfusion, psychology and rehabilitation.

The manual includes a "Patient Diary". This is a specially designed notebook in which it is convenient to record data on the course of treatment.

How can I use the book?

  - Of course, it will be useful for parents to read it themselves to understand everything.

-We also recommend giving it to friends and relatives to read so that they understand the issue themselves, without wasting energy and time of moms and dads.

- The book can be used as a guide in moments of doubt. It happens that you seem to remember everything, but it is better to spy once again.

- When you need good emotions, you can look at good pictures.
