Karate School in Lokhvytsia receive UAH 38 thousand to organize a trip to the European Karate Championship

In April 2016, the members of the Lokhvytsia Karate Club referred to the Oganes Khidiryan’s Charitable Foundation for a financial support to participate in the European Kyokushin Karate Championship (May 13-14, 2016, Tbilisi (Georgia). Young karate practitioners, the members of the Karate Club, regularly become champions and win prizes at All-Ukrainian and International competitions. To achieve new goals, all of them train hard, but, unfortunately, the Club is not able to provide all the conditions necessary for their development. Each competition, or even training, involves expenditures which is directly related with the participation and makes influence on the future of the talented youth. The Oganes Khidiryan’s Charitable Foundation responded to the appeal and asked heads of the farms in the Poltava Region to join forces to collect the necessary funds. In total UAH 38 thousand were transferred to the Lokhvytsia Karate Club. It is an amazing fact that not only the philanthropists care about the problems young athletes from Lokhvytsia town face but the local businesses also showed their concern.

“Helping talented young generation gives an honor to our company”, Head of “Kharkivetske” Private Enterprise Anatolii Zaslavets says. “Applying locally the social responsibility principles help us build a strong reputation for the Poltava Region. We are confident that our support to the Lokhvytsia Karate Club members will foster their further development and they will show good results during the competitions.”

The journalists gave a report in the Lokhvytsia regional newspaper “Zarya” of young athletes and expressed gratitude to the Oganes Khidiryan’s Charitable Foundation for their help in organizing the trip to the Championship.
